Hi! I’m Raja and I’m a Texas girl through and through. I was born in a small East Texas town and quickly surrendered to the animal shelter along with my two siblings. The shelter told my mom that they picked on me because I was the runt of the litter. My life was off to a ruff start.
Luckily my mom rescued me and brought me back for a great life in Dallas. Shortly afterwards, I was in a bad car accident where I broke my leg. Later on this contributed to getting an ACL tear and a major surgery.
The good news is that during all of this I got a great dad and human sister and my family continues to grow. I’ve been working as a service dog since I was about a year old, and by my human’s side is my favorite place to be.
I love humans, and when my family realized how much I love to meet new people they went through Therapy Dog training with me. The neighborhood kids are great! The people at the grocery store, can’t wait to meet ’em! Even though my life started out pretty tough, I am a cheerful girl and I think I’m a joy to be around.
