Hi, we’re Elyse & Steven Lizarazo. We’re so glad you’re here! We started Story Paws because we have experienced first-hand the healing power of animals. We have owned many dogs over the years and love all dogs! Raja has a special place in our heart, and we hope you can meet her and experience the warmth and joy she brings.

What do we do?

Story Paws brings the healing power of animals to people in a variety of environments- classrooms, nursing homes, physical rehabilitation centers, and many other locations. Our current featured pup, Raja, is a registered therapy dog who LOVES meeting new people. Therapy dogs provide Animal-Assisted Interventions, which include Animal-Assisted Therapy, Animal-Assisted Education, and Animal-Assisted Activity. Help us spread the word about our new organization! Founded in 2024, we are a local Texas registered nonprofit, Veteran and Woman-Owned Small Business. We are in the process of obtaining 501c3 status from the IRS. We offer complimentary Animal-Assisted Interventions to those in the DFW metroplex.

In just over a year, we’ve partnered with 11 different organizations, impacted over 1,000 lives, and conducted over 120 visits. We are on target to partner with 15 total organizations by the end of 2025. Your donations make it possible for us to continue offering our services at no cost.
