story paws: A therapy dog organization

In our first year, Story Paws visited over 40 different classrooms. We work with two elementary schools to provide therapy dog services, and teach life skills like resilience, emotional regulation, and self-confidence. We partner with school counselors to support anti-bullying initiatives and provide small group visits for students who need additional support.

Children’s Health Plano is our home base for medical visits. Raja enjoys snuggling up with young patients whether they are repeat patients in the oncology unit or admitted for one-time treatment. Kids love getting custom therapy dog cards and coloring pages!

We support our community servants by visiting local fire and police stations, and working with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Our therapy dogs bring wagging tails and unconditional love to our local superheroes.

We value the importance of taking care of those that have paved the way for the current generation. We visit memory care facilities to spend time with the residents and hospice patients.
